INFINITUM Company Group has implemented robotic business processes based on the ROBIN platform
Aplana Business Solutions has implemented the project on introduction of technologies of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in INFINITUM Asset Services. The software robots built on the ROBIN platform were "handed over" the functions of monitoring and collection of various information from the systems of the Bank of Russia, CEC and Rosfinmonitoring, which was previously performed manually. INFINITUM was the first infrastructure organization to robot this task.
INFINITUM Asset Services provides services to the participants of the collective investment market: non-governmental pension funds, management companies of unit investment funds, self-regulatory organizations, state corporations, insurance companies, banks and other institutional investors. The Company uses modern IT solutions in its operations. Software robots have become one of these tools.
Today RPA is in demand in almost any industry and is rightly considered one of the most promising technologies on the market. Inter alia, the interest in it is confirmed by various independent studies. For example, according to the KPMG report, over 60% of the world's companies already use robotic business processes. Robots take over routine operations, work without rest or vacation, which means people can switch to more intelligent tasks.
Having estimated on advantage of using software robots, the management of INFINITUM has made the decision on introduction RPA. In the course of the project, Aplana Business Solutions specialists have created software robots based on ROBIN's own platform, which work in the personal offices of the Bank of Russia, CEC and Rosfinmonitoring. They process and transmit the received information (events feed, technical notifications, internal control rules) to the INFINITUM information system.
To implement this functionality, two components of the ROBIN platform were used: Robin Studio (a module for designing robots using a visual designer) and Robin Robot (a module for automated scripting). The whole project was implemented in just a few weeks, which was greatly facilitated by ROBIN architecture, which differs from its foreign counterparts by the ability to create specialized software robots with minimal modifications. Another distinguishing feature of the platform is that it includes machine learning technologies for working with unstructured texts. This allows the software robots built on it to "learn by themselves" and constantly improve the quality of selecting the necessary information from the text.
"This project was interesting for us, first of all, because INFINITUM was the first company in its field that started using RPA technologies. Moreover, INFINITUM has not just 'hired' a software robot, but immediately started working for the future - it has created a Center of Expertise, whose employees have received appropriate training and now can create new software robots without outsourcing", - said Pavel Borchenko, Director of Innovation, Aplana Business Solutions.
"By implementing software robots, we were able to free employees previously involved in this process from routine tasks and allow them to switch to more important tasks.
