Pavel Prass elected as member of NFA Board of Directors

28.04.2016

12th General (Annual) Meeting of SRO NFA was held on April 8th; it closed the books for 2015 and approved the activity profile for 2016-2017. According to the Strategy of Russian Financial Market Development prepared by the Bank of Russia, a new Board of Directors of the National Financial Association (NFA) was elected, with Pavel Prass, Director General of INFINITUM Asset Services being one of the members.

‘It is a very complicated period for the pooled investment market, and the financial market in general. The change dynamics is critical, stricter requirements are being enforced, large-scale reforms of nearly all financial market segments are performed, there is a need to modernize technologies used, the operational load has grown drastically, all of that happens in the situation of considerable uncertainty and general trouble unfolding in the national economy. In these conditions, we, INFINITUM, being the leader of our market segment, consider the most active participation in the management and modernization of the financial market on behalf of the professional community to be particularly important, even essential.

Establishing a specialized Council inside the NFA and the ability to influence its activity management widen our possibilities here to work in the interests of the market in general. At the same time, it is a huge responsibility for us, along with additional tasks and workload.

This position in the Board of Directors of the NFA is a token of trust of the professional community and of the appreciation of INFINITUM’s expertise and achievements, which is a great honor for our company and me personally.

I am sure that all of that will allow us to build up an efficient and fruitful dialogue with all of the stakeholders and conduct the important work on the development of both the financial market and, by extension, the economy of Russia,’ Pavel Prass stated.
